Federal agencies find contracting with MSI, simple using FAR accelerated procedures. These procedures can be used in most instances, given that MSI is qualified in the following socioeconomic categories:
- SBA 8(A) Business
- Small Disadvantaged Business
- Small Business
- GSA Schedule 70 (GS-35F-0245W)
Federal Acquisition Regulations allow agencies to award sole-source contracts, up to a ceiling of $3 million for goods and services without competition and contracts of up to $25 million or more with limited competition.
MSI has an SBA approved Mentor/Protégé agreement with Barton Malow, a large construction management firm with offices across the nation, which allows MSI to work on much larger projects as a prime. MSI also has a Partnering Agreement with Bay State, a larger and very experienced IT firm, which complements MSI?s capabilities adding resources in the area of IT services.
In addition, MSI is also qualified as a MDOT Minority Business Enterprise in the State of Maryland.
